New Mommy Clothes

There isn't really much to write these days. Being inside Mommy's getting a little boring. I've got to do whatever Mommy wants to do. I can't make my own decisions yet.

Mommy and her friends went shopping the other day. Mommy was complaining to Daddy that most of her sweater were getting a little too short for comfort. Spring is coming here pretty soon so Mommy decided it was time for new clothes shopping. Shopping wasn't easy. I was tired listening to Mommy complain about the prices of maternity clothing. She ended up at the juniors department buying the latest trendy clothing. Talk about Mommy following the latest fashion. Daddy said it doesn't seem like Mommy. Mommy has never followed any trend.

Mommy wanted decent tops which looked nice and long enough too cover the entire belly. I thought Mommy looked pretty cool in the new clothes she bought. She has promised me she'll take tonnes of pictures.

I'm feeling rather restless being inside Mommy. There isn't much to do anyway. I tend to move a lot. I think it makes Mommy very uncomfortable. I try to be nice sometimes but then I get bored and find ways to entertain myself. I can much clearer these days. I can hear Mommy and Daddy's voice all the time. They talk a lot things I don't understand about. Mommy said I just have to wait till I get a little bigger to understand the adult stuff.

Is it time yet?

How has everyone been? Mommy has been sick lately with a lot of cough and flu. She blames it on the crazy cold weather. Well, according to the news on the television (yeah! I can hear through mommy's tummy); It's been more than a month since this Arctic blast from up north started. She doesn't like the cold weather and I'm beginning not to like it too. It makes my mommy sick. If it makes mommy unhappy it makes me unhappy as well ;)

Mommy says she's almost done with the baby gift registry. She's registered with her favourite store "Target". She's been busy picking out cute outfits for me. I hope she doesn't dress me up like a prep kid. Mommy and Daddy have been arguing about the kind of clothing I should wear. If anyone is interested look up the gift registry at target. Just type in either Mommy or Daddy's name. I'll be born in the state of Kansas and expected arrival date is May 31. Mommy's name is Mullai Shipley and Daddy's name is Richard Shipley.

Daddy bought Mommy bunches of helium ballons for Valentines. Daddy said he got a really good bargain on it. Mommy loved it. She thought it was cute.

I haven't really figured out what else to do inside Mommy. Can't wait to get out. Mommy's also trying to create a family tree for me so I'll know who's who in the family :)

Experiments

Mommy has been busy trying experiments with me. She has tried many ways to make me move for others. The best yet experiment is when she tried putting her mp3 player on the tummy. I thought I'll have some fun so I moved around a little. Mommy got really excited. She tried getting Daddy to feel me move. That's when I stopped. When Daddy took his hand off I moved again. It was fun playing hide and seek with Daddy.

I've changed my hobby for now. I'm starting to learn the techniques of somersaulting. It's more fun than kicking and punching mommy. I know it drives mommy nuts. She complains all the time. She says it makes her feel really weird like her stomach is churning butter. Daddy has tried talking to me about it but I think I will not listen this time :)

Mommy says that she has started her baby gift registry. She's been picking out baby clothes, toys and furniture for me. I hope she picks out the good stuff. Mommy says that I'll be sleeping in their room. I won't get my own nursery yet. Mommy and Daddy are too lazy to walk across the apartment just to check on me during the night. Plus if Mommy's Mommy and Daddy come to visit me they'll stay in the other room. Mommy says a lot of people will be coming to visit me when I'm born. Can't wait to meet everyone. I hope I can remember everyone. I should talk to Mommy about starting a guest book so I can read about it when I'm older.

Mommy has to go for glucose testing within the next few weeks. I hope she aces her tests.

Visit No. 5

Mommy and I had another routine check-up with the doc. There wasn't any exciting ultrasound pictures or anything like that. Doc said I didn't another one of those ultrasounds unless he suspected complications. Mommy was a little sad she couldn't see me but glad in a way that the pregnancy is going well. Doc asked Mommy to go for a routine glucose level testing for any diabetic symptoms. As usual, Mommy and Daddy had tonnes of questions to ask the doc. Doc said the I should be able to hear voices now through mommy's stomach. To tell the truth I was getting a little bored listening to mommy's voice only. Not that I don't love mommy very much but I want to know who else is usually around her. Daddy showed the doc pictures of the ultrasound. He was proud of it again. I'm starting to think my parents are just a little off :)

Mommy complained about me moving too much. Doc asked mommy is she's been eating a lot of carbs ie. chocolates and sugary stuff. Mommy just smiled and looked just a little guilty. Doc said to reduce just a little because the carbs as in any person just makes anyone hyper-active. Mommy was not to thrilled about not eating her favourite food. Then mommy said she doesn't mind me being hyper-active all the time anyway.

Mommy has also come to the realization that I just don't kick when requested. If anyone tries to touch mommy I stay so quiet and behave myself. Sometimes I do that even to Daddy. Mommy thinks she's might go crazy if I don't start behaving myself. According to Mommy, it's going to be a long 20-odd years. She says she already sees the mischievousness in me. I call that being an individual and having an opinion :) :) ;)
