Pre-Holiday Season Pictures

No..No.. It's not me. It's Sanjay pre-holiday pictures. Mommy wanted to have some practice first..

So... what do you think? So I've been told many many times over that Sanjay looks so much like me when I was that age. Here are some of my first holiday season pictures and here is another set of them. I see so many differences. Even Mommy thinks we look so different!!

Partner-In-Crime

So much has been going on since Sanjay got here. Aya and Ayya left. There goes by back-up in case I don't get my way with Mommy and Daddy. Aya and Ayya were definitely an ally for me.

I have definitely taken the role of big brother very seriously. I'm learning to help with the diapers and feeding. I have proof too :) My next assignment with Sanjay is to teach him potty training. Mommy thinks Sanjay is jsut a little too young to be potty trained right now. Mommy says I don't remember how long it took me to train. Hey! I just thinking in terms of saving money from buying all that diapers and use the money instead on buying toys for me and Sanjay.

Sanjay is definitely getting bigger. He definitely likes it when I sing all the cool nursery rhymes I learn at preschool. Preschool is so much fun. I have made so many new friends and am learning so many new things. Mommy is a little worried though because of the girls who like me. Mommy thinks I'm just a little too young. Some of the girls have asked me out on a playdate. I think that's pretty cool. I also get to ride the yellow school bus to school. I think that's the coolest thing ever to ride on the bus

Birthdays & Anniversaries

Happy Birthday to Daddy :)

Happy Anniversary to Aya & Ayya :)

Isn't it cool that Daddy shares the date with Aya and Ayya's Anniversary? I'm been extremely busy playing the big brother role with Sanjay. It's a huge task keeping up with the all the stuff that is involved with Sanjay. Whoever thought that a tiny baby has so much?

I promise to post pictures really soon. Mommy has just gotten them downloaded to the laptop and hopefully by this weekend I'll have some pictures to post.

Sanjay Alexander

Day 1 - Sanjay fast asleep

Day 2 - Snuggling up to Mommy :)

I'd like to introduce my little baby brother Sanjay Alexander. Pretty cool name huh? I call him 'thambi'. It means little brother in Tamil and Sanjay when he's a little older will call me 'Anne' which means big brother.

So who would like to know the birth story about how Sanjay got here about 2 weeks before his due date??

July 20, 2010 - First we have to start talking about the day before Sanjay got here. Aya and Ayya who were supposed to be here on Monday got delayed due to a slight misunderstanding about a visa or something like that. They flew in the following day instead (Tuesday). That was the day where the mid-west had the really really bad storm. Mommy was already stressed out about the storm and driving to the airport. I heard Mommy telling Daddy that driving was really bad and the visibility was almost non-existent!! I fell asleep in the car as I was tired and Mommy was driving really really slow. Poor Mommy!

Finally after arriving at the airport. I think we drove for almost 1.5 hours. Usually it takes about 40 minutes to get to the airport! We get to the airport tired and exhausted. I know Daddy was a little worried as we kept receiving calls and text so often to make sure we were doing ok. This is when we find out the flight is delayed and because of bad weather the flight has been diverted to St Louis and waiting there for the weather to clear at Kansas City. I was so bored that I think I made Mommy stress out even more. Hey! I am after a hyperactive 3 year old with too much energy. There isn't much to do at the airport anyway.

I think we must have waited about 3 hours before we heard anything. I think Mommy was almost in tears. I know I wasn't helping the situation at all. Finally there was some good news. The flight had left St Louis and would be in Kansas City really soon. Yay! I was getting tired and I think Mommy was tired too.

Aya and Ayya arrived safely and all the luggages also arrived on time surprisingly. Next thing you know we're heading home really hungry. The weather wasn't too bad driving home. Phew!

July 21st - Sanjay's Birthday. Mommy wakes up as usual in morning to head out to work. Aya and Ayya are already up and about. I think it's the jet lag. They have been in 3 different times zones in the last few days. Aya was already starting to cook up all of Mommy's favorite dishes which at the end Mommy didn't get to eat any. This is when I find out that Mommy has been up since 4am. I think she was having contractions. I think it was due to the stress the day before. I swear I didn't have anything to do with that :). Mommy has also been keeping contact with the doctor who I think told her to wait out a little longer.

About 10am, Mommy was ready I think to have Sanjay and called the doctor who as trying really hard to get a room for Mommy at the same hospital I was born but there wasn't any room at all so Mommy and Daddy were sent to another hospital. I think Mommy wasn't very happy at all with this hospital. I think Mommy had her mind set to have Sanjay at the same hospital as I was born. I think Mommy and Daddy didn't have any choice so they went ahead and started the registration process at the other hospital and got admitted. Just as the rest of the paperwork were being done. Mommy gets the message that there is a room available at the hospital Sanjay was supposed to be born! Mommy didn't really waste anytime and got dressed again and rushed to this hospital. Funny isn't it?? Well! I thought it was.

After all the trouble of admitting and getting discharged from one hospital and rushing to the other; Sanjay was born at 1.46pm. I was super excited that finally my little baby brother is here. Someone to play with and get into mischievous with. Daddy finally came home and picked us up so we could head out to the hospital to meet Sanjay. I was so excited. I even got to hold Sanjay for a few minutes. I've got so much more stories to tell but maybe another day another post right??

June Bugs

It's been a very busy June so far. Every weekend is spent doing something. Thank you to Mommy and Daddy for organizing all this fun activities for me and my friends.

Baby Sanjay is almost here. I think he's got a few more weeks left before he show up. I can't wait to meet my baby brother. I am so ready to take the responsibility as the older brother and teach Sanjay some of my tricks.

Aya and Ayya get here in a few weeks to help out with Sanjay. I can't wait to have them over and get spoilt by them. It's going to be a fun fun summer.

I think being 3 is the most fun thing so far. I can almost get my words across to others. I get a lot of big boy toys too. I'm a fully potty trained toddler and love being outdoors. I think I'm also starting preschool in August. I can't wait for that.

Birthday Party

I had my 3rd birthday party at McDonald's Playplace. I love that place. I've been going there a lot during the winter that Mommy decided that we should hold my 3rd birthday party there. It was a blast :)

Cheese Mommy! So when can I cut my cake???

Yummy Ronald McDonald Cake (Chocolate Flavor)

I had really cool Winnie the Pooh Candle and Mommy helped me cut the cake.

Time to feed everyone with sugar so we're are geared up to play and play.

Checking out all my gifts the next morning. Thank you everyone who came and for the gifts. I had a blast at my birthday party :)

Sanjay

Sanjay's Post

Vikram said I could write a few words in his blog. I don't think Mommy is going to start a blog for me. I think I'm sharing with Vikram. I'm pretty excited to meet everyone. After a lot of discussion I think I"m going to be named Sanjay Alexander. What do they mean?? Sanjay means triumphant and Alexander means defender of man. Mommy think it rhymes pretty well with Vikram's name.

Did I mention I'm pretty hyperactive and love to kick Mommy all the time? I think it drives Mommy nuts. Mommy thinks she's going to have another hyperactive kid just like Vikram. I will hopefully soon post some pictures of me when Mommy gets around to scanning them.

Happy belated 3rd birthday to Vikram. Can't wait to meet everybody really soon.

3rd Birthday

I celebrated my 3rd birthday last weekend. I think I've got the hang of blowing candles and cutting cake. I did celebrate 3 days in a row. Fun isn't it?? I'll post pics of my birthday party here really soon. We've just been so busy preparing for Sanjay's arrival in a few weeks :)

Soccer

I'm starting soccer camp next week for 6 weeks. I'm super excited. My friend Jason will be joining me as well. I have someone to play with. I will definitely post pictures of my weekly soccer sessions.

I have a birthday coming up here in a few weeks. I"m super excited. I already received one of my birthday presents early. It's big boy bicycle. A little too big but I'm excited anyway. It has spiders on it just like Spiderman.

Here is a glimpse of me and Mommy recently taken. Mommy and Daddy are seriously lacking on Sanjay's pictures. Hopefully it will get corrected with this really nice weather coming in the next few weeks.

Baby Brother

So the news is officially out. I'm getting a baby brother in August. Can't wait to meet him. It'll be so exciting to have a partner in crime to do all the things I've already been doing. There will be officially someone I can blame for all my wrong doings. I think we as a family have decided that he'll be named Sanjay Alexander. Hopefully soon I"ll be able to post some pictures for everyone to see. Sanjay did look a little weird when we got to see him through a television. I wonder why??

Curious George

Guess I got to see last weekend? Curious George :) Curious George was a really big monkey and I really liked hugging him so much. He was just so cuddly and huggable. I also got the play at the play area after meeting Curious George and had lunch with my friend Jaz (a.k.a Jasmine).

Hugs! Hugs! I love you Curious George.

I'm all smiles now that I've met Curious George.

Maybe just another pose for the picture.

I'm still not done with the hugging part. Need more hugs.

I need more pictures and I'm still not done.

I'm on top of the world right now.

Daddy! No pictures. Jaz and I are on this secret mission.

No Jaz! That one! You've got to pick this first.

Alright you have yours and I have mine. I think we're good on this. Back to my game.

Winter Blues

Did anyone ever tell you about this thing called winter blues? I don't really like being cooped up in the house all the time. Usually during the weekdays Mommy rarely wants to go out to do anything. Mommy is constantly complaining about the cold weather. Don't get me wrong, Mommy always somehow manages to find me fun stuff to do during the weekday but I think it's still not enough. Can't wait for the warmer weather where I can spend hours playing outside at the park or pool. I'm pretty excited about it because Daddy has promised to teach me how to swim. Maybe I'll even get enrolled in toddler soccer camp. Mommy says there are more options for me this summer as I turn the big 3.

I had my first ever clothes shopping experience with Mommy the other day. I've been clothes shopping before but no one has ever asked me my opinion. Well, this time Mommy wanted to get me some jeans as I was outgrowing my current ones. I even got to pick the colors I liked. Did you know there are so many different cuts of jeans available for toddlers? After much confusion and trying out in the little big boys fitting room, Mommy and I agreed on 4 pairs.

One of Mommy friend introduced this really cool place at a local community center. It has a 6ft rock climbing wall. I was super excited about it. Still learning the ropes on how this whole rock climbing this works. Can't wait to go again there.

Mommy also says she's got a big surprise for me. I'll find out about it sometimes this week and I'll blog about it next week hopefully if I'm not too busy with it :) Maybe it a brand new bicycle or a toy? I can't wait to find out. Mommy's birthday is also coming up next weekend. I need to find the best gift in the whole wide world. Need to discuss with Daddy on the available options and how much I have in my piggy bank to spend.

Clock

Brilliant Clock Design...

A different way to display time on the green time line.. This is a really interesting clock! It comes from a Dutch web site. Here is what you will see when you look at this clock.

Don't do anything. It's automatically adjusted to your time zone. Just look at it and study it. It gives you the EXACT TIME of the DAY in seconds, minutes, hours, the day, month and year.

Just read the green line. Everything's there. Study it for a few seconds and it will all come clear to you.

Remember these definitions:

1st Line is Seconds
2nd Line is Minutes
3rd line is Hours..
4th Line is Days
5th Line is Months
6th Line is Years

This is the coolest clock I've ever seen.

Tech Toys

My favorite toy so far is the Ipod Touch. Well technically it belongs to Daddy and I pretend it's mine when I get hold of it. Mommy often downloads apps for me to play on it. I think Mommy does a pretty good job downloading cool apps for me. Daddy thinks I'm too smart sometimes when it comes to using the Ipod. I mean I was introduced to tech toy at a really young age. I can't imagine a life without one. Nightmares? Scary thought isn't it?

I think most things are touch screen. Mommy finds it really amusing when I try to flip or touch the screen of her cellphone or computer. Mommy! It's not that funny ok. I'm still figuring it out. Isn't everything touch screen anyway these days? Mommy needs to update her cellphone and computer to touch screen ones. I get to do pretty much anything I want on the Ipod Touch. I get to play games, watch video and listen to podcasts.

Thumbs for today's technology.

Hallmark Kaleidoscope

A few weeks ago, Mommy and Daddy took me to this really cool arts and crafts place called the Hallmark Kaleidoscope. It was really fun. They had this really cool room with black light and a jigsaw puzzle maker. Most of the pictures we took didn't really turn out well but Mommy managed to get a few videos of me and Daddy doing some fun artwork. I can't wait to go back there and have more fun.

Halloween (2009)

Finally I've got the Halloween pictures up. I dressed up as a green dinosaur. I wouldn't mind dressing up all year round if it meant getting candy from strangers.

I'm all set to be the meanest green dinosaur with purple polka dots. Mommy said I should be able to get loads of candy.

Time to check out my 'loot'. Let see whats in the pumpkin basket.

So much candy so little time. Need to plan this before it all disappears.

Uhm Daddy! Which one should I pick? Too many choices. Everyone one of them looks good.

Ok! I'll just pick one randomly for right now. Let's see what I get.

It's a purple sucker. Matches my purple polka dots too. I'll just start with this one then.

Snow

I love snow. I think they are the best things ever during the winter. I get to play in the snow. Build a snowman. Sledding with Daddy. Daddy got me this really cool sled to be used in the snow. It's a double seater sled I think so Daddy and I can both get into it and sled down together until I figure out how this whole maneuvering thing works.

We had a little bit of snow last weekend but it wasn't really enough to play. The sun came out too quickly and melted everything. Hoping we have more snow this weekend.

Mommy and Daddy celebrated their wedding anniversary two weekends ago. Happy Anniversary Mommy and Daddy :) I know I'm a little late but a belated birthday wishes to those who celebrated their birthdays in January; Periappa a.k.a. Pipa and Grandpa.

On the development milestones, my vocabulary is growing bigger and bigger. Mommy thinks I'm learning too much the television and friends. I'm still rather picky on what I eat and drink. I get to pick what I want to wear each day. I also want to do everything all by myself (I do by self).

Pro-cras-ti-na-tion

It's a big word and I'm still learning. I'm have been missing from the blogging scene for a few weeks now. I have to blame it on all holidays that were celebrated. First there was Halloween, then Thanksgiving and Christmas.

For Halloween I dressed up as a green 'scary' dinosaur. I did collect a lot of candy but somehow magically all the candy disappeared that night. It might have been the cookie monster. I will have investigated on it here really soon. Thanksgiving was spent down south with family. I had fun. I got to ride in the car with Mommy and Gee Gee. I spent most of the time watch my DVD player. I think it's a good way to travel :).

Christmas was pretty good to me this year. Mommy and Daddy went a little way out getting toys. I'm not complaining at all. I got a really cool Batman cave. "Superhero; Blast Off" among other toys. We had tonnes of snow for Christmas. It was truly a white Christmas :) Mommy kept complaining about there was too much snow and the temperatures are too cold. I wasn't though. I like snow. Daddy and I had a blast sledding and building snowmans.

Do I talk non-stop? Mommy complains I talk too much. Mommy is always saying to me "5 minutes. Just sit down and don't talk". How can I do that? There is just too much going not to ask anything especially when Mommy is watching TV.
